Driven by the values ​​and causes sensitive to the three Lemaire brothers, the Foundation aims first and foremost to support actions to better understand and diagnose Alzheimer's disease as well as to support those who have it. Next, the Foundation wishes to encourage initiatives offering the acquisition of knowledge to current and future entrepreneurs. The Lemaire Family Foundation, inspired by the philanthropic commitment of the three Lemaire brothers, a leading figure in the business world in Quebec, has for mission to support organizations or projects in the field of health and education in Quebec. In the health field, this foundation particularly targets Alzheimer's disease prevention, support and research initiatives. In education, the Foundation pays attention to initiatives promoting the training and education of entrepreneurs.

THE FOUNDATION FOR CIMA-Q

Thanks to the support of La Fondation Famille Lemaire, CIMA-Q has implemented a strategy to promote the dissemination and analysis of data collected from its cohort for more than 5 years now. Thus, CIMA-Q will offer by 2026 more than $ 600,000 in scholarships to graduate students (master's and doctoral) as well as postdoctoral fellows interested in Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative diseases associated with aging. These excellence scholarships will allow the analysis and deployment of data and bio-material from the CIMA-Q Bank.

In addition, the help provided by the Fondation Famille Lemaire makes it possible to support various dissemination activities concerning the advances made within the CIMA-Q project, such as this scientific event.
