The organizing committee is happy to welcome you to the Life Sciences Career Expo (LSCE) website! The LSCE is a hybrid (virtual and in-person), national, multi-day careers conference designed to bring together students and postdoctoral fellows with educators, researchers, industry partners and government stakeholders. These professionals have a shared common interest to educate the next generation of trainees about diverse careers.
Here you will find more information about the objectives of the event, the speakers and the schedule. You will also be able to explore the content and see the list of participants. You can also register and pay the registration costs directly through this website.

Workshop: Crafting a Job-Ready Resume (Virtual)
Led by Shiron Lee, Co-founder and CEO, Repair Genomics
Learn strategies to make your resume stand out in a competitive landscape—including ATS optimization and tips tailored for the biotech and life sciences industries.
This workshop will take place on Day 1 of the Expo: Tuesday April 22nd from 1:00 - 2:00 PM EDT.
Workshop: Finding the Right Career Fit (Virtual)
Led by Michelle Dubinsky, Medical Science Liasion in Cardiometabolism, Boehringer Ingelheim Canada
Not sure what career path is right for you? Identify your values, strengths, and interests, and learn how to assess which paths align best with your personal and professional goals. This workshop will take place on Day 1 of the Expo: Tuesday April 22nd from 3:00 - 4:00 PM EDT.
Workshop: LinkedIn 101 (Virtual)
Led by Amanda Veri, Manager, Office of Research Trainees - UHN
Discover how to create a compelling LinkedIn profile, and how to leverage LinkedIn as a tool for connecting with professionals, job searching, and career exploration. This workshop will take place on Day 2 of the Expo: Wednesday April 23rd from 12:00 - 1:00 PM EDT.
Workshop: Networking 101 (In-Person)
Led by Kinza Maxwood, Director of Science & Regulatory, Klick Health
Learn how to confidently approach professionals, initiate conversations, and build lasting connections to cultivate a strong professional network. This workshop will take place on Day 3 of the Expo: Thursday April 24th from 12:00 - 1:00 PM EDT.
Career Panels
Each career panel will focus on a different industry sector. The panels will consist of 3-4 speakers who will discuss their personal career journeys, current roles, and responsibilities, as well as offer advice for a successful transition into the field.
Each session will have a moderated Q&A format with an opportunity for the audience to submit their questions in real-time.

WEDNESDAY April 23 (2-3 pm EDT, CONCURRENT):
Career Panel 3: Careers in Life Sciences Operations, Project Management. Understand how professionals lead complex projects and programs in the life sciences.
Career Panel 4: Consulting & Business Development in the Life Sciences. Hear how experts help life science companies grow and solve strategic challenges.
WEDNESDAY April 23 (3-4pm EDT, CONCURRENT):
Career Panel 5: Marketing in the Life Sciences. Learn how scientific innovations are translated into compelling product stories.
Career Panel 6: Data & Technologies in the Life Sciences. Explore how data analytics, bioinformatics, and digital tools are transforming healthcare and biotech.

Thursday, April 24 at Hart House (University of Toronto's St. George Campus).
Career Panel 7 (10-11 AM): Medical & Regulatory Affairs. Explore roles that ensure medical products meet safety, efficacy, and regulatory standards and are and effectively communicated to both healthcare professionals and patients.
Career Panel 8 (11 AM-12 PM): Biotechnology/R&D. Learn from professionals advancing innovation in biotech and life science research.
Company Spotlight Presentations (Virtual)
Company-driven information sessions are designed to provide the audience with insights into topics such as the organization’s mission and vision, company culture, and opportunities to get involved.
Virtual (Day 2): These presentations will occur in concurrent themed streams on Wednesday, April 23rd.
Networking Roundtables (In-Person)
This session allows attendees to network with a variety of local professionals on Thursday, April 24th, from 3:00 - 5:00 PM EDT at Hart House (University of Toronto's St. George Campus)!
Company Booths (In-Person)
An open networking opportunity for attendees to visit participating companies throughout the conference. This offers attendees a chance to connect with representatives to learn about the company’s mission, workplace culture, and exciting career opportunities.
Each company will have a booth set-up during our in-person event on Thursday, April 24th (2:00 - 3:00 PM EDT).
LinkedIn Headshots (In-Person)
Receive two high-quality headshots, taken and edited by a professional photographer. Service is available on a first-come, first-served basis while spots last, during our in-person event on Thursday, April 24th (1:00 - 4:00 PM EDT).
Due to high demand, our in-person event day (April 24th) at Hart House are assigned on a first- come, first-serve basis.

The Life Sciences Career Expo 2025 will take place over 3 days:

This is the virtual conference platform. All registrants should register and create their profiles on this platform to access virtual programming.
Who can attend?
Anyone is welcome to register for this event! We hope this Expo can help you in your professional development journey through the many sessions offered.
How much does it cost?
Different prices are available depending on ticket type (ie. virtual-only, in-person only, or both) and professional status (e.g. student, post-doc, recent grad, other).
Note - Attendees can attend the virtual event only, the in-person event only, or both the virtual and in-person events. An in-person ticket grants access to both the virtual and in-person sessions. Ticket purchasing and attendance is at attendee discretion.
Refund Policy
Please note that purchasing a ticket is a commitment to attending the event, and cancellation on short notice denies registration to other attendees. Additionally, with each registration, the Organizing Committee has incurred fees, including but not limited to the use of the digital platform and/or room rental and catering. No refunds will be issued for cancellations or no-shows.
