Call for the Promotion of Health Equity Programming within the Community

The National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF) is pleased to announce a Call for the Promotion of Health Equity Programming within the community for our Health Equity Summit "Every Hour, Every Day: Access and Political Determinants of Health" from May 30-31, 2024 in New Orleans, LA (in-person with COVID protocol) .

The mission and the objectives of the Health Equity Summit are as follows:

To bring together stakeholders around the topics of access to care and the political determinants of health for a better understanding of lived experiences, data outcomes and evidence-based practices where each stakeholder group can intervene to make changes resulting in health equity for all.

Objectives:

1. Transform organizational culture and better understand the political determinants of health.

2. Address emerging IBD community health needs, including issues with access to care, by supporting adaptable, innovative, outcome-focused, sustainable programs and services.

3. Improve access to services and treatment by supporting integration and coordination of health services, health care providers, payers, and the public health sector.

4. Expand stakeholder leadership that results in shared decision making as a way forward for sustainable initiatives that eliminate health disparities.

NBDF is seeking to showcase at the summit important Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion projects that were conducted under the NBDF’s Capacity Building Grant program. If your project was not fully implemented, we encourage you to share lessons learned.

The benefits of submitting a poster are:

  • Displayed during NBDF’s Health Equity Summit in New Orleans, LA.
  • Will be available online one month after the summit on the NBDF’s website along with the summit’s white paper and images will be shared on NBDF’s Health Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion quarterly newsletter.
