4th International One-Health Conference 2025

Since the 2021 The International One-Health Conference is gathering the prominent experts from institutions, academia, international organizations in health and environmental sectors to bring One-Health topics at the center of the scientific discussion.

The rationale behind the 4th International One-Health Conference, grounded in Integral Ecology and Human Ecology, emphasizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. Integral Ecology, a concept from Pope Francis' encyclical "Laudato Si'," advocates for a holistic approach to the environment, recognizing the intricate web of relationships between all forms of life and the ecosystems they inhabit. This perspective aligns with the One Health framework, which seeks to address health issues through a collaborative, multi-sectoral approach, acknowledging that human health is deeply intertwined with the health of animals and the environment.

Human Ecology, which explores the relationships between humans and their natural, social, and built environments, further supports this integrated approach. It recognizes that human well-being is dependent on healthy ecosystems and sustainable practices. The conference aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, bringing together experts from various fields to develop comprehensive strategies that promote health across all species and ecosystems.

By integrating these ecological perspectives, the conference seeks to address global challenges such as emerging infectious diseases, climate change, and biodiversity loss. It emphasizes the need for sustainable development practices that respect the balance of natural systems, ultimately aiming to create a healthier planet for future generations.
