The Northeastern Ontario (NEO) Palliative Care Conference Scientific Planning Committee is seeking unrestricted educational grants from interested sponsors to support the delivery of the 2025 Northeastern Ontario Palliative Care Conference. The NEO Palliative Care Conference is the result of a joint effort between the NOSM U Palliative Care Education Program and the NNPCN-PCIEF. This year we are excited to be hosting a hybrid conference delivered virtually and in-person at the NOSM University Sudbury campus. This event will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
The NEO Palliative Care Conference program is cultivated each year to provide frontline healthcare providers with groundbreaking education, tools, and research to fill critical gaps in knowledge and directly benefit the lives of everyday Palliative Care clients. This conference attracts a wide audience of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Allied Healthcare Professionals, Volunteers, and Medical Learners from across Northern Ontario. With participant growth and impact increasing steadily every year, now is the time for dedicated sponsors to be established.
The Northeastern Ontario Palliative Care Conference Scientific Planning Committee is respectfully requesting your support through an unrestricted educational grant. A sponsor and exhibitor prospectus is attached to this letter for you to review. Should your organization kindly wish to provide sponsorship for this program, please complete the agreement on the final page of the prospectus. In supporting this event, your organization will receive recognition and acknowledgement via the Conference program and website and the NNPCN-PCIEF.
This request for an educational grant will assist with the costs of speaker honorariums, speaker travel, venue and catering costs, costs associated with the delivery of the conference, and course materials. Any educational grant money received will be used in compliance with the National Standard for the Support of Accredited CPD Activities and with Educational Independence Standards of the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CACME). Any unused funds are to be used at the discretion of the scientific planning committee. Sponsors are expected to comply with the Innovative Medicines Canada: Code of Ethical Practices.
We look forward to your response and working together to bring this important program forward.
Sincerely,
