POWERTRAIN 2025

Dear Colleagues,

The powertrain industry is at a critical point in its transition towards a more sustainable and technologically advanced future, with the emergence of new competitive players.

Our industry faces significant challenges:

• Reducing greenhouse gases emissions
• Controlling development and production costs
• Expanding infrastructure to support both electric vehicle charging and hydrogen refueling
• Ensuring the supply of critical materials to produce battery, electric machines or power electronics

All of this must be achieved within an increasingly complex and evolving geopolitical and regulatory environment.

The SIA Powertrain Congress is recognized as a key event in the automotive industry, providing engineers with a platform to share and refine their vision for efficient, clean, and affordable mobility. The congress also offers an invaluable opportunity to expand professional networks and forge strong connections within the industry.

The 37th edition will be held in Paris on June 11th and 12th, 2025. We encourage you to submit your abstracts by the 18th of November 2024.

We are looking for lectures that will provide an overall picture of state-of-the-art technologies and anticipate future development challenges on the following topics:

• Electric propulsion systems and control including electric machines, batteries & power electronics
• Hydrogen internal combustion engines (H2 ICE) and fuel cells
• Electrified ICE evolutions.
• New powertrain platform architectures.

• Alternative mobility solutions
• Charging infrastructure and hydrogen supply ecosystem

• Eco-design, life cycle assessment (LCA), recycling, and repairability.
• Materials, environnemental impacts.
