Overcoming Adversity & Founding EngiQueers Canada

Vanessa Raquel Raponi, P.Eng., PMP is the Founder of EngiQueers Canada, a national non-profit advocating for equity, diversity and inclusion in the profession of engineering in Canada. She currently works as a Senior Product Development Engineer at Spin Master, a Canadian founded toy company making products like Etch A Sketch, Rubik's Cube, Paw Patrol and Kinetic Sand! Vanessa is excited to kick off this important QATCanSTEM conference, with a keynote that will share her journey in creating a national movement of queer inclusion, as well as how she personally found space for a queer woman of colour such as herself to thrive in STEM.
