Welcoming word 2025

Welcome to the Joint Annual Meeting of the Société québécoise de lipidologie, de nutrition et de métabolisme (SQLNM), the Réseau de recherche en santé cardiométabolique, diabète et obésité (CMDO) and the MyRoad training platform. Once again this year, the aim of this scientific meeting is to take stock of the state of knowledge in our research fields, and to showcase the work and expertise in cardiometabolic health of research teams from Quebec and elsewhere.

This year's theme, Tailor-made cardiometabolic health, represents a unique opportunity to bring together speakers from Quebec and the international scene. The rich and diverse program will focus on strategies for the prevention and management of cardiometabolic diseases using personalized approaches.

We are proud to include oral presentations by students, as well as poster presentations. We hope these high-quality presentations will enrich your interactions, discussions and reflections throughout this week dedicated to precision cardiometabolic health research.

New this year, and in honour of the memory of Dr. Denis Richard, we are pleased to announce the first Denis-Richard Prestige Lecture. The speaker chosen to launch this new lecture series is Michel Bouvier, who will present an overview of his innovative work in the field of molecular pharmacology.

Welcome !

With the aim of having a strong synergistic impact on the future health of the Quebec population both for the dyslipidemia and cardiometabolic aspects, the management of the SQLNM, under the co-chairmanship of Benoît Arsenault and Marie-Claude Vohl, the management of CMDO and the MyRoad platform, under the direction of André Tchernof, have agreed to jointly hold this congress.

The 2025 Joint Scientific Meeting of the SQLNM and the CMDO Network will be held from February 5 to 7, 2025 at the Chéribourg Hotel, Orford.
