Jean-Davignon & Paul-Lupien Founders Prize
This award is offered to a researcher, a clinician, or a speaker of excellence in the field of lipidology, nutrition and metabolism.
The winner is invited to give a lecture on his or her research at the scientific meeting. In 2024, it was Ms. Simone Lemieux who earned this honor. She will present a lecture on February 9 titled Nutrition Research: A Sea of Possibilities.

Pierre-Julien Commitment Prize - SQLNM
Launched on February 6, 2023, this award is named in honor of Dr. Pierre Julien to highlight his commitment and remarkable contribution to the development of the Société québécoise de lipidologie, de nutrition et de metabolism and to the achievement of the mission of training, education and research as President from 2000 to 2022.
This prize will reward members of the research community on lipids, nutrition and metabolism who have distinguished themselves through their commitment and who have thus improved the daily life of a person, a team, a community or a community. 'a population.
The prize will be awarded on Friday, February 9, at the same time as the Yves-Deshaies Rising Stars Prize (CMDO).

Jean-Davignon Young Researcher Prize from CMDO/Novo Nordisk/INMD-IRSC Network
The Jean-Davignon Young Researcher Prize competition is aimed at young Quebec researchers who have distinguished themselves in their early careers. The winning researcher having been in position for 7 years or less and having a research program of excellent scientific quality which demonstrates a structuring effect for research within the network will receive a research grant of $32,500 for a year.
The prize will be awarded on Thursday, February 8 in the afternoon.

Yves-Deshaies Rising Stars Prize
Created in April 2012 by the Fonds de Recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS), the Research Network on cardiometabolic health, diabetes and obesity's mission is to develop research of excellence in these areas, to transmit it knowledge and to promote knowledge to promote the quality of life of Quebecers.
The network is launching its Yves-Deshaies Rising Stars Prize competition from the CMDO Network 2023-2024, which is aimed at graduate students and postdoctoral interns from Quebec. The objective of the award is to help students, whose applications could be competitive, to increase their chances of success for a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship or a Banting Postdoctoral Scholarship (deposit expected at fall 2024). It has three components: 1) Financial support of $3,000 for participation in international conferences; 2) Reserved access to the 2024 Winter Camp and the 2024 CMDO Scientific Meeting and 3) Access to a senior mentor who will act as an advisor in order to have an application aligned with the specific criteria of these prestigious competitions. A maximum of two (2) prizes per year are awarded following an evaluation based on criteria of excellence.
