Keynote Speaker: Judge Laurie Halfpenny MacQuarrie
In her keynote address, Judge Halfpenny MacQuarrie will describe the development and accomplishments of the Indigenous Healing to Wellness and Gladue Court in Wagmatcook, Cape Breton. Judge Halfpenny MacQuarrie was instrumental in establishing this court in 2018 and has been the driving force keeping it running ever since.
Panel discussion: Careers in Psychology
Join our panel of professionals to get the inside scoop on careers in psychology and related fields. You’ll hear about a “day-in-the-life” of clinical psychology, as well a career paths for undergraduate and graduate psychology students who do not pursue a clinical degree! Be ready to ask questions. Presentation Information and guidelines
Oral presentations
Oral presentations are 7 minutes long, and will be followed by 2 minutes for questions. Oral presenters should bring their presentation file on a flash drive (do not assume that you will be able to download it from the internet that day) and will be asked to load their presentation files (.pptx) to the podium computer at the beginning of their scheduled session. All presenters are required to use the podium computer (i.e., you will not be able to use your own Laptop), baring exceptional circumstances or prior established accommodations.
Poster presentations
Posters should be maximum 36" high x 48” wide (landscape orientation). For readability you are encouraged to use a minimum 24 point font size. All poster presenters must bring their own printed (hard copy) research poster with them to the conference. We are not holding electronic poster sessions or printing posters.
Conference Program
A downloadable/printable PDF copy of our conference program. The program includes brief and detailed versions of the schedule (i.e., presentation titles and times) as well as information for connecting to campus guest wifi. A limited number of paper copies will also be available on Thursday and Friday.
On-campus accommodations
Conference attendees can find on-campus accommodations at the SMU residence buildings. At the moment, to book a room you must contact conference services directly by phone or email using the information found by clicking here. Conference services has been asked to hold a block spaces for this conference.

Please be aware that the page includes a large "Book Now" link that will take you to Booking.com, however vacancies for May 9 and 10 will not be available on that site until the first week of May.
