Welcome to SOFT 2022!

The biennial symposium on fusion technology is the most important conference in this field in Europe, bringing together scientists, engineers, industry representatives and exhibitors from all over the world and focusing on the latest developments in fusion experiments and activities. SOFT includes invited, oral and poster presentations, as well as industry and R&D exhibitions.

The event is organised by the Ruđer Bošković Institute (RBI), Croatia's leading scientific institute in natural and biomedical sciences as well as marine and environmental research.

Under the current circumstances surrounding COVID-19 and taking into account the recommendations and guidelines for hosting major events, especially with the safety of all participants in mind, SOFT 2022 is hosted as a hybrid event, where the number of participants who can meet in person at the venue will be limited.

We will have to reduce a conference that normally hosts over 1000 attendees to about half that number for in-person attendance. We will ensure that all participants who cannot come to Dubrovnik in person will have the opportunity to present their research and follow all conference events via our online platform.
