    Dr. Shruti Naïk

    NYU

Dr. Shruti Naik is an international leader in immunology and stem cell biology. Dr. Naik is an Assistant Professor and the Associate Director of the Colton Center for Autoimmunity at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

Her lab studies the crosstalk between immune cells and tissue stem cells in the skin and gut with a focus on 3 major areas of research: 1) inflammatory memory and autoimmunity, 2) tissue repair, and 3) host-microbe interactions.

Naik is a strong advocate for increasing diversity in science and promoting the advancement of underrepresented and marginalized groups. She has been recognized for her research and advocacy through numerous accolades including the International Takeda Innovators in Science Award, Pew-Stewart Scholar, Packard Fellowship, NIH Directors Innovator Award and is a NYSCF Robertson Investigator.

At #SRGC2023, the professor #Shruti will speak on “Immune-mediated adaptive and maladaptive tissue responses

  • Dr. Ken Liechty

    Dr. Ken Liechty

    University of Arizona

Professor Ken Liechty is internationally recognized for his clinical care in fetal medicine and his research in wound healing and regeneration.

His research projects focus on wound healing, the response to injury, regenerative medicine, mechanisms involved in the regenerative response to injury in the fetus, the role of inflammation and oxidative stress in tissue repair as well as the correction of abnormal healing in the adult.

His team has pioneered the role of dysregulated microRNAs in the diabetic wound healing impairment, and the mechanisms of the correction of this wound healing impairment with stem cell and gene therapy

At #SRGC2023, the professor Ken Liechty will speak on “Regeneration in Response to Injury: Lessons Learned from the Fetus”
