Accreditation Canada and Health Standards Organization are pleased to present the 2024 International Health Surveyor Conference. The purpose of this conference is to provide Accreditation Canada surveyors with the opportunity to learn about HSO/AC priorities, to contribute to and participate in continuing education and skills development, and to provide networking opportunities with surveyors and enterprise stakeholders.

The conference is designed around the theme Leading Health Quality - The Future of Integrated, People-Centred Care. During the conference we will be promoting the important role of surveyors as “agents of change” in driving this new agenda for quality improvement in health care. Topics will focus on the evolving dimensions affecting health care quality, including patient safety, the global workforce crisis, people-centred care, equitable access to care, planetary health, and trust in health care systems, with the imperative of addressing these challenges in new ways.

With a clear aim to enhance Surveyors’ skills, build their capacity around new accreditation standards, and equip them to address evolving health care needs globally, the conference serves as a pivotal platform for advancing these principles. By sharpening our Surveyors’ skills, the event ensures consistent, high‑quality on‑site surveys, benefiting health care organizations striving for excellence, and ultimately leading to improved Health Quality.
