Tech Summit, Dolby's annual internal technology and innovation conference, kicks off on Monday, June 2, and runs through Friday, June 6 at 1275 Market in San Francisco.

Tech Summit 2025 features three exciting sub-programs for all employees to participate in:

• EnterpriseQuest

• IdeaQuest

As Dolby prepares to celebrate 60 years of innovating for the future, we reflect on how our contributions have transformed and redefined the way the world experiences sight and sound. From the birth of groundbreaking audio technologies to advancements in imaging and spatial experiences, our legacy of innovation and relentless focus on raising the quality and efficiency of entertainment experiences have shaped the entertainment landscape and set the stage for the next era of transformative growth.

Tech Summit 2025 Theme: AI @ Ecosystems

How can AI drive technology innovation, evolve and enhance ecosystems, and foster growth in new business areas?

AI continues to fuel transformative growth across nearly every industry, creating new opportunities at every turn. And at Dolby, our innovation has been deeply rooted in the strong ecosystems we’ve built with our partners. As we envision the future, integrating AI into these ecosystems - enhancing them to deliver more value to customers and accelerate our growth - is a natural next step which will help to invent a future where AI-infused immersive experiences deliver unparalleled value at every step in entertainment and media workflows.

AI@Ecosystems is about examining our current AI adoption, evolving our ecosystems to drive new growth opportunities, and positioning Dolby to thrive in an AI-powered landscape.

We’re not new at this. We have fully embraced AI and have seen significant success in our core technologies, such as the integration of LensNet for dialogue separation and enhancement.

Taking a holistic look at the role of AI across our ecosystems helps to unlock its full potential. By doing so, we can develop a comprehensive AI strategy to support new creative possibilities for content creators, improve the efficiency of content delivery, reduce costs and friction in content quality control, solve complex industry challenges, and provide deeper insights for assessing and enhancing user experiences and engagement.

Looking ahead, we know that AI is the key to continuing to raise the bar on entertainment experiences and propelling us into a future where entertainment is more engaging, more immersive, and more accessible than ever.

Learn More About Our Sub-Programs

• TechQuest: Submit a short paper for a technical, deep-dive presentation. A cross-organizational panel will select submissions, which will have a chance to present their work in the Dolby Cinema at 1275.  You can find the submission guidelines in the FAQ.

• Newly Expanded Scope! | EnterpriseQuest: Submit a paper that presents a deep dive into a business case or market trend that leverages and/or impacts multiple business functions within Dolby. For example, what ecosystem opportunities might arise from combining AI, Data, Dolby Cloud Solutions and Dolby’s Cinema business? Chosen submissions will also present a high-level overview of their proposal in the Dolby Cinema at 1275 and will be part of the main Tech Summit program.

• IdeaQuest: Submit concepts that align with the AI@Ecosystem theme or submit innovative ideas that could drive new opportunities for Dolby. IdeaQuest will start the week before Tech Summit so that Questers can hack their demos and prototypes together before the main event kicks off.
