The organizing committee is happy to welcome you to our symposium website! Here you will find more information about the objectives of the event, the speakers and the schedule. The event is set to take place on the 5th of August during Montreal Pride week!
You will also be able to explore the content and see the list of participants. You can also register, pay the registration costs and submit an abstract directly through this website.
Objectives
Here are the main objectives of the event:
- Share knowledge on several areas of therapeutics, based on the research background of student presenters
- Connect LGBTQ2IA+ junior scientists and allies from Canadian institutions virtually and in person
- Create a safe space for LGBTQ2IA+ junior scientists to discuss topics related to shared experiences
- Provide networking opportunities for attendees
Format
The event will be hybrid in format:
- In-person participation (at McGill University, Montreal):
- Early bird registration (until June 25th): $25/ticket
- Regular registration (until July 25th): $30/ticket
- Late registration (no presentation, until August 1st): 35$/ticket
- Virtual participation: $10/ticket
All oral presentations will be streamed on this website for virtual attendees to view. Virtual attendees will also have access to a virtual networking platform.
Presentations
Abstracts will be accepted from junior scientists for the following presentations:
- Oral presentations (in person only)
- 10-15 minute talks (TBD, depending on the number of participants)
- Poster presentations (in person and virtual).
- In-person poster speakers are also encouraged to upload their posters onto the symposium website for virtual participation as well.
- Virtual poster presentations will be accessible for the entire week, between July 31 and August 8.
