The World’s Challenges Can Be Found in Your Classroom!

May 10th, 9:45 am-2:00 pm

Co-Chairs: Dr. Cheryl van Daalen-Smith, Nitima Bhatia, and Sandra Peniston

In collaboration with the Teaching Commons and in advance of this year’s 10th annual Teaching in Focus conference, the SDGs-in-the-Classroom Community of Practice is delighted to offer our first UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Teach-In Day.

Whether you are just beginning to explore how the United Nations’ 17 SDGs might intersect with the subjects you touch upon in your classrooms, or you have deep research and teaching familiarity with these goals, we welcome you for a fully online half-day of panel discussions, interactive sessions, and experiential learning about teaching the SDGs. Together we will share approaches to working with the SDGs as a learning framework, strategies for engaging students with SDG-focused lessons, and experiences as teachers and learners in the SDG classroom. Join us for a fun, no-strings-attached event to renew and revitalize your teaching!
