The Tulane Research, Innovation, and Creativity Summit (TRICS) is Tulane’s premier annual, university-wide showcase for research and innovation. Established in 2022 and building on the foundation of earlier discipline-specific events, TRICS showcases Tulane’s innovative research internally and externally through poster sessions, Lightning Talks, and distinguished keynotes.
Join us for an engaging exploration of the latest innovations, techniques, and best practices. This gathering brings together experts, thought leaders, and passionate participants to share insights and experiences.

The 2026 event will be held at the Avron B. Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse, 6811 Freret Street.

TRICS 2026 KEYNOTE SPEAKER
John Landrum holds a BA in English Literature from Westminster College (Fulton, MO) and a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
After practicing business litigation for ten years, John joined Laitram and its subsidiary, Intralox, where he has served as General Manager for Europe, Marketing Manager,
Business Development Manager, VP for Emerging Industries, General Manager for Asia Pacific, and Manager of New Product Development.
John is creator and host of Triple Win Workplace podcast series and author of The Jonkheer’s Wife, a WWII novel set in occupied Holland.
John is a board member of Bureau of Governmental Research, a past board chair of KIPP New Orleans Schools, and a co-founder / past president of Young Leadership Council.
John has a long and happy marriage, two adult children, and a growing brood of grandchildren.
