Award Description
Applications are now open for the prestigious Australian Centre for Value-Based Health Care Awards Program designed to highlight the outstanding work of health services, individuals and systems in transforming healthcare for person centred, outcome focused, value-based health care.
Applicants have the opportunity to apply for one of the following awards:
The Innovation Award - Awarded to a project that is significantly innovative. This could be in the start up or early phases of development, or an established project demonstrating results.
The Transformation Award - Awarded for a project that has demonstrated successful engagement across sectors or disciplines for sustained improvements or scalability.
The Equity Award - Awarded to a project that is demonstrating results in reducing health inequities and improving outcomes for a priority population.
All submissions will also be considered for the People’s Choice Poster Prize.

The Australian Centre for Value-Based Health Care Awards recognise achievements made in transforming the Australian system for VBHC, highlighting initiatives that are redefining healthcare around the outcomes that matter to people and communities for the resources available, equitably and sustainably.
Awards winners will:
Be featured in The Health Advocate, AHHAs quarterly member magazine, and on the AHHA website.
Have the opportunity to collaborate with the Australian Centre for VBHC to develop a VBHC webinar featuring their award-winning project as part of the Centre's monthly VBHC webinar series. The Australian Centre for VBHC webinar series averages 300-350 registrations per webinar with a diverse audience of decision makers across government, health services and industry regularly in attendance.
How to Apply?
Applicants are invited to submit a digital poster outlining:
project context, aims and objectives
outcomes achieved
alignment with the principles of person centred, outcome focused, value -based health care
alignment with chosen award category.
