Keynote Speaker
The Office of Research is thrilled to introduce Dr. Anna Zamora-Kapoor as the keynote speaker.
Dr. Anna Zamora-Kapoor
Associate Professor in the Departments of Sociology and Medical Education and Clinical Sciences at Washington State University
Anna Zamora-Kapoor, PhD, is an Associate Professor at Washington State University, with a joint appointment at the Department of Sociology and the Department of Medical Education and Clinical Sciences. Before joining WSU, Dr. Zamora-Kapoor completed a PhD in Sociology at Columbia University and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Her research examines health disparities and the social determinants of health with quantitative methods and community-based participatory research. Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Alzheimer’s Association, and The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and featured in multiple media outlets, such as the Seattle Times, Medical News Today, The Spokesman-Review, and Politico. She presented her work on implementing artificial intelligence tools in a rural clinic at the 2024 Annual Symposium of the Washington State Academy of Sciences.
