Call for Abstracts
Present your simulation research, developments, and innovations at Canada’s interprofessional simulation conference!
The SIM Expo is a unique hybrid of an academic conference, community networking event, and trade show. It provides an excellent forum to disseminate research findings to front-line simulationists, forge new collaborations, share knowledge, and demonstrate your exciting new simulation scenarios, programs, and achievements.

There are two streams for abstracts:
Abstract Expectations & Guidelines
We accept submissions for a wide variety of different presentations and activities, which make the Expo an incredible venue for sharing knowledge, celebrating achievements, demonstrating innovations, and more. Presentations on any topic related to simulation are welcome and considered equally; presentations addressing this year’s theme of “AI in Simulation: Ethics, Evidence, and Execution” are especially invited.
All abstracts must be structured, with a maximum word count of 350 words. Unstructured abstracts will not be considered. You may submit more than one abstract, one submission per form.
We will consider completed projects and works in progress. We also accept abstracts previously presented at other regional, national or international meetings.
Please note that space is limited for all presentations. We will not be able to accept all abstracts. You may be asked to present in a different format than the one in which the abstract was submitted, due to considerations of theme and availability of time and space. Generally, abstracts are accepted only from academic and not-for-profit organizations.

We encourage all presenters to be diverse, interactive, and creative. Feel free to propose something new or different than any options listed above! Contact expo@simulationcanada.ca.
Virtual SIM Expo Video Recording
As we did last year, in response to requests from our community to make SIM Expo content available to those who cannot attend in person, and to allow attendees to access sessions that they couldn't attend because of scheduling conflicts, we are including an online video archive of SIM Expo content!
SIM Expo presenters of posters, research paper presentations, and AI panelists will be required to record a short video of their presentation for posting to the virtual conference archive. Details about the virtual SIM Expo platform and recording process will be provided at the time of abstract acceptance.
