Participation Rules for Student Presentations

1) Be a REGAL master's or doctoral student, registered on the member list.
- Verify your status.
- Register with REGAL (if required).

2) A student may represent their university only once during their study cycle.

3) Exceptionally, if an institution does not have a graduate student, a postdoctoral fellow may present their results. However, they will not be eligible for the Best Student Presentation Award.

Selection of the Representative

Each REGAL member institution can be represented. The selection is made internally by the institution's coordinator.

Conférence

Student presentations for the REGAL contest will be held on October 17, 2024.

General Information

As part of the JER, the presentation must be a popularization exercise. The audience is diverse, so making the content accessible is crucial. Points will be awarded for this criterion during the evaluation for the Best Presentation Award.

To ensure uniformity, REGAL now requires the use of the presentation's first two (2) slides. You must complete and include these two pages at the beginning of your presentation (i.e., slides 1 and 2). Use the template provided below.

The presentation can be in French or English. The slides can be in either language and do not need to match the language of the oral presentation.

No confidential information is allowed in the presentations.

Each presentation lasts 15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for questions.
