Model Organism Poster Event
PLEASE LOGIN TO SEE THE SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM
Welcome!
Model organisms are vital tools used in the study of developmental biology. These organisms share many of the same genes but are far easier to study than the humans or plants they model.
This poster event is an opportunity to learn about model organisms and discover how they are used to study basic and applied aspects of plant or animal developmental biology.
Presenters should register and submit a poster title and abstract as soon as possible (by Thursday February 3th) to allow for the organization of poster sessions. Poster and video can be uploaded later (deadline is Monday February 7th at midnight).
Posters will be presented during class on Tuesday February 8th and Thursday February 10th. The conference website will be open 24/7 so you can browse posters/videos and formulate any questions you want to ask during the live virtual in-class portion of the assignment.
Presentations will be equally divided between the two days. You are expected to attend BOTH sessions. On one day, be prepared to present/discuss your poster with delegates in your live video chat room. You can share your screen. On the alternate day, be prepared to visit posters, interact with presenters, and submit written feedback through the assignment portal in Brightspace. You will be assigned a group of posters to attend at the conference.
The virtual conference program presents the schedule in your time zone.
