Important Information for the Upcoming Dicty Conference

As the start of the conference draws near, we would like to provide you with some important information to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience during the event. Please take a moment to review the details below. You can find a map of Opatija with a list of locations mentioned in the text below.

Accommodation: Participants will be accommodated in two hotels within the Amadria hotels complex, based on the type of registration selected:

REGISTRATION FEE WITH ACCOMMODATION (single room): Participants who have chosen this type of registration will be staying at Hotel Agava (5), located at Maršala Tita 89, Opatija, 51410, HR. Phone: +385 51 278200 Email: hotel.agava@amadriapark.com

REGISTRATION FEE WITH ACCOMMODATION (shared room): Participants who have opted for this type of registration will be staying at Grand Hotel 4 Opatijska Cvijeta (3a), situated at Viktora Cara Emina 6, Opatija, 51410, HR. Phone: +385 51 295001 Email: hotel.grand4opatijskacvijeta@amadriapark.com

Conference Venue: Lectures and poster sessions will take place at the Conference Park 25/7, on the 1st floor in hall 1AB. Coffee breaks will be conveniently served in front of the lecture hall as per the conference schedule.

Please note that we will not provide a printed version of the Book of Abstracts on site for environmental reasons. Therefore, if you would like a copy, please print it out and bring it with you.

Oral Presentations: To ensure that the presentations run smoothly, we kindly request that you submit your presentations on a USB stick to the Lecture hall during the breaks before the session begins. This will allow us to upload the files and ensure seamless transitions between presentations. If you prefer to use your own computer for the presentation and you have a Mac, please remember to bring suitable adapters to ensure compatibility with the equipment provided by the meeting venue. Having the appropriate adapters will help us avoid any technical difficulties and ensure a smooth flow of your presentation. The allowed time for the oral presentations is 20 minutes, followed by a 5 minutes for questions.

Poster Presentations: Posters will be displayed on designated poster boards in a specific area of the Lecture hall. Please ensure that your poster does not exceed the dimensions of 100 cm (width) × 140 cm (length). The organizers will provide the necessary tools for attaching your poster. For flash poster presentations, please prepare one slide. These presentations are limited to just 5 minutes, and no debate will follow.

Registration: The registration process will commence on Sunday, 27 August at 4:30 pm. Please proceed to the registration desk located in front of the lecture hall.

Welcome Reception & Lunches: Join us for the Welcome Reception on Sunday, 27 August at 7:30 pm, hosted at Restaurant Camellia within the Amadria Park Grand Hotel 4 Opatijska Cvijeta, just opposite the conference venue. Lunches will also be provided at the same restaurant in accordance with the conference schedule.

Monday Evening Self-Sponsored Dinner: For the self-sponsored dinner on Monday evening, 28 August, 8:00 pm, we have arranged a buffet dinner (featuring fish, pasta, and vegetables) at the Event Room of Hotel Continental ex Gardenija (6), (located behind the conference venue, facing the main street) at the rate of €33 per person. This charge will be billed directly to your room. Please note that drinks are not included but are available for purchase.

Opatija Walking Tour: Discover the charms of Opatija with a walking tour on Wednesday, 30 August, following the second Keynote lecture at 3:30 pm. The tour, led by two knowledgeable guides, will showcase the town's historical landmarks and secrets. After the tour, you'll have free time to explore.

Conference Dinner: Experience the Conference Dinner on Wednesday, 30 August, in an authentic restaurant beneath Učka mountain overlooking Opatija. The culinary delights reflect the region's influences, featuring locally sourced ingredients. Transportation to and from the restaurant will be arranged via bus. Departure is scheduled for 7:15 pm from the conference venue and around 11:00 pm from the restaurant.

Weather: According to the available weather forecasts, there is a possibility of rain during the conference. We recommend bringing umbrellas or raincoats to be prepared. The temperature is expected to range between 20°C to 35°C.
