1. Enter all authors (list presenting author first) and all corresponding affiliations (i.e., at least one Institute/Department and University for each author), using digits to assign the correct affiliation to each author (e.g., Curie, Marie¹). As the submitting author, you must also be the first author. Several authors can be assigned to the same affiliation. Maximum three affiliations per author are possible. (Please use the complete institute name as you would for a manuscript submission to a peer-reviewed journal).

2. Format the abstract title using the title case. Limit the number of words in the title to 35 or fewer.

3. Use 300 words maximum in your abstract.

4. Omit tables, graphs, or figures from your abstract submission. When necessary, include those in your presentation or poster.

5. Obtain your supervisor approval prior to submitting your abstract. Be cautious with sensitive data. Remember your full abstract text will be publicly accessible without restrictions, on the symposium website.

6. Proof-read carefully before submitting. Abstracts will not be edited by the symposium organizers and will be published exactly as submitted.

7. Indicate the GCB Research Area (GCB Expert Committee of your mentor), i.e., Biomedical Sciences, to which you were assigned following your GCB interview.

8. Add one to three keywords best describing your research subtopic. Following is a short example list: #cell metabolism, #cell communication, #cell cycle, #cell composition, #transport in biological tissues and across membranes, #manipulation of cells and biomolecules, #microfluidics, #tissue engineering, #bionanotechnology, #machine learning, #pharmacology, #human physiology, #human nutrition, #animal nutrition, #physiological and molecular mechanisms in plants, #biotechnology, #drug development, #food production and #quality control, etc. This will provide the organizers will more information for allocating presentation types and assigning sessions.

9. Prepare and submit early so technical or other unexpected delays do not cause you to miss the final deadline.
