The registration is now closed!

Note: Due to space availability at the venue, priority will be given to participants who have submitted abstracts for presentations and to organizations that are registered as observers with the CBD. All other interested parties (individuals or organizations that would like to send representatives) from countries requiring a visa for Canada, please get in touch (conf2023@geobon.org) before registering. Paying the registration fee does not automatically lead to an invitation letter for visa application and it might lead to cancellations incurring cancellation fees. All emails need to be sent from official email address of the organization.

    The registration covers in-person attendance from 10 to 13 October 2023 at Centre Mont-Royal, Montreal, Canada.

    To make the GEO BON Global Conference more accessible, we offer a reduced fee for students and participants from low and middle income countries (see below).

    A small number of travel awards will be made available and details will be provided soon.

    *Corporate fee: staff working for for-profit organizations (startups, enterprises, corporations, consulting firms, banks, other private companies)

    **Regular fee: academia, research institutes, government, NGO, IGO

    ***Reduced fee:
    - Students from all countries: proof of student status (copy of valid student ID, letter from your university registrar's office confirming your registration or an official transcript of the courses you are taking). Please email one of these documents to conf2023@geobon.org when you register.

    - Participants from Low, lower-middle or upper-middle Income Country (World Bank Country Classification)

    The registration fee includes:

    - Attendance to all conference sessions

    - Lunches and coffee breaks

    - Access to the exhibit hall & poster sessions

    Notes:

    All rates are in Canadian Dollars $. Applicable taxes are not included and will be applied as appropriate on the payment page at the end of the registration process. Applicable taxes vary depending on where you are from (the maximum applicable tax will be 14.975% provincial/federal tax).

    Registration fees must be paid in full to gain access to the conference.

    Registration closes on 25 September 2023 (11:59 pm EST) except for day passes which can be acquired until 3 October 2023 (11:59 pm EST). Onsite registration will not be possible.

    Visa information

    All visitors entering Canada will be required to present a valid passport. In addition, some visitors might require an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) or a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) depending on their nationality.

    You are encouraged to register for the conference and apply for a visa to Canada as early as possible to ensure the visa process can be completed in time.
