International Symposium on Automotive Lighting

The International Symposium on Automotive Lighting (ISAL) is a premier forum for innovation in vehicle and road lighting.
It fosters exchange among lighting engineers, road-safety experts, regulatory authorities, and industry leaders, offering a platform to present the latest research and development shaping the future of automotive lighting.

Held every two years since 1995, ISAL is organized and hosted by the Laboratory of Adaptive Lighting Systems and Visual Processing at Technical University of Darmstadt and takes place at the modern darmstadtium congress center.

Registration and Participation:

ISAL is a three-day, all-inclusive event running Monday through Wednesday.
Participation is personalized and provides full access to all conference sessions, the exhibition, and networking events.

Multiple price categories will be available, including early-bird, regular, and late rates.
Detailed pricing and sales dates for ISAL 2027 will be announced closer to the event.

Group registration options will also be available once registration opens.

Included in the participation fee are:

• Full access to the exhibition

• Attendance at all presentations

• Conference proceedings as a PDF file

• Get Together networking evening on Monday

• Lunch and dinner on Tuesday

• Lunch on Wednesday

• All-day coffee, tea, and water

• Light snacks

• Conference giveaways

Not included in the participation fee are hotel accommodations, parking and, if applicable, meeting rooms.

Important Information:

• Participation must be booked in advance; no on-site registration is available.

• No physical or digital ticket will be sent. A valid photo ID is required to collect your badge at check-in and must be worn at all times.

• ID will be checked at each re-entry for security purposes.

• Lost badges can be reissued for a €5 cash fee.

• All participation fees are final and non-refundable.

• If you are unable to attend, please contact the ISAL team.
