XXVIth ISM Graduate Student Colloquium

The organizing committee of the XXVIth Graduate Student Colloquium of the Institut des Sciences Mathématiques is pleased to welcome you to the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in May 2024! This colloquium brings together the community of graduate students in mathematics from all of Quebec’s universities for a weekend each year. During the event, participants have the opportunity to attend five plenary sessions, to present their own work, and to take part in social activities.

General information

Dates : From Friday May 24, 2024 (16:30) to Sunday May 26, 2024 (13:15)

Location : Pavillon Sherbrooke (SH), Complexe des sciences de l'Université du Québec à Montréal

Registration fee : 30$

The registration fee includes all meals from Friday evening to Sunday morning: a wine and cheese event, a lunch, a dinner at a restaurant, two breakfasts, as well as coffee and snacks throughout the weekend.

Each participant is responsible for booking their own accommodation and transportation. These costs may be partially reimbursed directly by ISM.

Student presentations

Graduate students are invited to present their work on a mathematical topic of their choice. Presentations are 40 minutes in length, followed by a five-minute question period. Once you are registered, you may submit an abstract of your presentation in the submission section.

*Please note that it is not required to give a presentation to participate in the conference.

Mathematical postcards

We invite participants to create mathematical postcards which will be printed and displayed during the colloquium. If you're looking for inspiration, the NCNGT website displays some examples. To submit your own postcard, pleas go to the Submissions page and fill in the form.
