-
Professor Gregory Aarons
University of California, San Diego
Integrating implementation science and policy - an evolving field
Prof. Greg Aarons shares insights into his research at the forefront of implementation science, encompassing leadership and organisational change strategies for implementation of evidence-based practices combined with AI quality assurance, and collaborative models for policy engaged research. Prof. Aarons will describe a continuum of policy-engaged implementation research and application of the Exploration, Preparation, Implementation, Sustainment (EPIS) framework and its adaptation for policy implementation. Prof. Aarons will describe the Interagency Collaborative Team model for scaling and sustainment of evidence-based practices in policy engaged implementation projects and initiatives. -
Professor Trish Greenhalgh
University of Oxford
Should we all stop using the word ‘implementation’?
In this provocative talk, Prof. Greenhalgh will present real-word examples that show how a well-intentioned focus on ‘implementation’ can sometimes backfire. She will explore the question: does an ‘intervention’ to be ‘implemented’ draw people away from attending to the values-based issues that will stymie projects if not addressed?
