Important note: medical knowledge and experience is not required to attend this program. Mini Medical School is for everyone and we welcome all individuals who want to learn!

About the Program

Our Mini Medical School Series is designed to inspire and educate future medical professionals, show the community what it is like to be in medical school, promote health and health literacy, and foster meaningful connections within the community. You will have the opportunity to meet and learn from medical students and health care providers, providing a rich environment for learning and growth.

Program Highlights

  • Free to Attend: Sessions are completely free!

  • Target Audience: This is for the general population - NOT a presentation for medical professionals!

  • Inclusive: The sessions are open to all community members living in Northern Ontario. Due to space limitations, registration for in-person attendance at NOSM University (Thunder Bay) will be limited to 30 participants. We encourage you to register early to secure your seat!

  • Across the North: We have partnered with other organizations!
