Neuro-Developmental Treatments Approach for Infants and Toddlers



Dans le cadre de la formation continue, le service de physiothérapie du CHU Sainte-Justine propose un cours qui est offert par le Neuro-Developmental Treatment Association.

La formation est offerte en anglais d’où le descriptif dans la même langue.


THE CHU SAINTE-JUSTINE IS PROUD TO HOST A 3-DAY BABY COURSE WITH THE INSTRUCTOR MRS JANE STYER-ACEVEDO WITH WHOM WE HAVE COLLABORATED ON OTHER NDTA COURSES IN THE PAST. THE FOLLOWING IS AN OVERVIEW OF THE COURSE OBJECTIVES AND INFORMATIONS ON REGISTRATION. THE COURSE WILL TAKE PLACE IN MONTREAL.

Objectives:

At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the current neuroscientific basis of the Neuro-developmental Treatment Approach;
  2. Apply the ICF model as it to relates to infant/toddler assessment and treatment via video observation af assessment and treatment demonstrations
  3. Identify at least 10 aspects of typical development via observation of infants, slides and videos;
  4. Identify at least 10 aspects of atypical development as compared to typical development via observation of infants, slides and videos;
  5. Facilitate movement transitions appropriate for the infant/toddler population on another adult and on a doll in lab;
  6. Promote carry-over and participation at the home and community environments via daily activities.
