Executive Director of Nuestra Tierra Conservation Project

Born and raised in the Río Bravo valley, Ángel is a first-generation Mexican American and proud father of four. Throughout his career, he has built and led high-performing teams that have secured national protections for millions of acres across the American Southwest. Ángel is a champion of land, water, and wildlife conservation for future generations. He is a founding member of the Next 100 Coalition, Outdoor Opportunity Coalition, and the first-of-its-kind New Mexico Outdoor Equity Fund. Currently serving as Executive Director of the Nuestra Tierra Conservation Project, Ángel is dedicated to empowering communities so their people, history, and values are authentically reflected in land and water management decisions.
