Sexuality and generative AI: Benefits, risks, and paths for action
Welcome to the SAGA Symposium: Sexuality and Generative AI!
Generative artificial intelligence (AI) is profoundly transforming the ways individuals live, imagine, and explore sexuality. With systems now capable of producing images, text, and even intimate interactions, AI is reshaping romantic relationships, erotic expression, and the production and consumption of sexual content.
The “SAGA: Sexuality and Generative AI” symposium will bring together national and international researchers, practitioners, and industry actors to discuss the ethical, legal, and social issues emerging from sexual and romantic uses of generative AI.
The event will be held at the Université du Québec à Montréal, in a hybrid and bilingual format (French/English), with simultaneous translation and captioning. It is open to all, with no registration fee.
This interactive event will feature scientific presentations, panels, and public discussions on topics such as the regulation of AI-generated pornography and romantic companions, the prevention of harms associated with these technologies, the emergence of new forms of digital intimacy, and innovative intervention models using AI for sexual and relational difficulties.
