The closest international airport is Split Kaštela Airport, which has direct flights to all major airports in Europe including Frankfurt, London, Munich, Paris, and Vienna. From Split Kaštela Airport you can take a bus or a taxi, or rent a car to Split Main Bus Station. It is within walking distance to Split Port from where you need to travel by catamaran or ferry (if you are arriving by car) to Hvar.
The recommended option is taking the Pleso shuttle bus outside the airport (white bus with Croatia Airlines logo) followed by taking one of the available catamaran lines to Hvar.
Be aware that the last catamaran departs from Split at 19:15 while the last ferry boat departs at 20:30. If the transportation from Stari Grad (ferry boat arrives there) to the Hvar (town) will be needed, make sure to inform the organizers on time.
