Objectives

The Zoological Lighting Institute^™ (ZLI) is a charity dedicated to supporting the sciences of light and life through the arts for animal welfare and wildlife conservation. ZLI's Accommodation Campaign is dedicated to developing bat photobiology, with emphasis on improving the general understanding of how light relates to ecological layering. It is particularly important that those in science take leadership on integrating wildlife within human settlement, and ZLI's Accommodation Bat Research Symposium offers us an opportunity to do so.

Here are the main objectives of the event:

1. Allow bat scientists, caregivers, and conservationists to meet and network.
2. Further research in bat science; including physiology, sensory ecology, and integrative biology.
3. Examine the issues and trends affecting bat welfare and conservation concerns.
4. Support research funding through the related anime series, PhotoDiversity Film's Roger's Roost.
