Awards and Grants
As in previous years, the annual meeting will have a student paper competition, with a substantial monetary prize. We also will continue to support several initiatives that promote geographic and gender diversity, with a focus this year on diversity in radiological security.
Eligibility:
· Be a full-time student in an accredited educational institution.
· Have submitted an abstract by the submission deadline.
· Accept the speaking engagement.
· Register for and attend the INMM Annual Meeting.
· Submit a final paper no later than the established deadline (no exceptions).
· Not have won student paper awards at past meetings.
Winners will be determined by judges composed of the Awards Committee and Technical Division Chairs or their designees. Cash prizes for first place ($1,000) and second place ($500) are awarded and announced during the Annual Meeting.
The INMM is happy to announce the availability of grants for 2024 INMM Annual Meeting. The grants are generously supported by the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration’s Office of Radiological Security and are intended to increase diversity in the INMM community. The grants will cover annual meeting registration, travel expenses including airfare, hotel accommodations at the annual meeting venue, per diem and terminal allowances, registration for a workshop on radiological security to be held in conjunction with the annual meeting, and a full one-year membership in the INMM. The INMM expects to make 35 or more grants.
An annual meeting grant can be obtained by applying during the grant submission process. Approximately 20 grants will be given to annual meeting speakers. In addition, the INMM will offer grants to experts in the field whose active participation in the INMM Annual Meeting will enhance the experience for all attendees.
Eligibility requirements:
1. Professional experience or academic study in radiological security or relevant fields
2. Members of underrepresented groups (determined by age, gender, nationality, employer or
industry)
3. Absence of financial means to attend the meeting

FAQ
This section will answer additional questions about the meeting. The list will be updated as we receive questions from members and attendees via email.
The official language of the conference is English. It is preferred that all presentations be delivered in English. If this is not possible, and you need to use an interpreter, you must provide for your own interpreter and notify INMM Headquarters by June 15, 2024, so arrangements can be made. Serious scheduling problems may arise for presenters using interpreters. The use of interpretation can add significant time to the presentation.
Papers that include text generated from a large-scale language model (LLM) such as ChatGPT are prohibited unless the text produced by the model is presented as a part of the paper’s experimental analysis. LLM-generated text should be clearly labelled and discernible from other written text.
This year, the Technical Program Committee will be peer reviewing abstract submissions for the annual meeting. This will result in feedback of abstract accepted, accepted with requested revisions, or rejected to the submitter. The meeting proceedings will not be peer reviewed this year.
Yes, we plan to allow for presenters to record presentations this year if they cannot attend in person. More information on this will be sent out when we release the preliminary program.
