OTH63 - Engaging youth perspectives on climate change adaptation in the North - sponsored by Amundsen Science

Canada in a Changing Climate: Advancing our Knowledge for Action is the national assessment of how and why Canada's climate is changing; the impacts of these changes on our communities, environment, and economy; and how we are adapting. In 2024, the publication of the For Our Future: Indigenous Resilience Report was an important milestone for Indigenous-led climate leadership and marked the end of the previous cycle. It also highlighted the pivotal role youth play in shaping the future. It's crucial we amplify northern youth voices and empower youth participation in climate change impacts and adaptation assessments going forward. Come and join us for an interactive session to weigh in on current themes being discussed for the next Assessment. You'll have the opportunity to hear how youth have been engaged in the past and opportunities for engagement in assessments going forward.
