Mental Health, Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Genetics Symposium
Recent discoveries in genetics are laying the foundation for a revolution in our understanding and management of mental disorders. Health professionals are often insufficiently informed to intervene and answer patients questions while integrating the new approaches. This symposium will make the most advanced knowledge available to professionals from all disciplines working in mental health and neurodevelopment fields in a resolutely practical approach.
Target Audience
All professionals working with clients with mental health and developmental disabilities, including physicians in genetics, psychiatry, pediatrics, genetic counselors, educators and associated professions, psychologists and neuropsychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists. The day will also be relevant to students in these disciplines.
