The Canadian Arctic is a vast, remote area of responsibility that is undergoing a number of paradigmatic shifts - environmentally, socio-economically, and geopolitically. The Department of Fisheries and Oceans and its special operating agency, the Canadian Coast Guard, deliver critical programs and services that contribute to the safety and security of Canadians in Canada's North and Arctic in the face of these challenges, now and into the future.
