Participation to the 2023 Student Day

This year, the Student Day proposed by the Student Committee will be held from Sunday, February 5th at noon to Monday, February 6th at noon. It is open to QO student members and post-doctoral members. In addition to taking time to network, participants will be asked to improve their skills in "graphic abstract writing". Registration for this day is done via the same form as for your participation to the ASM. The Student Day activities are limited to 30 participants.

Participation to the 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting

This event is open to all, from Monday February 6th at noon until Tuesday February 7th at 4:30 pm. On the program: guest speakers, networking activities, an oral and poster presentation contest for participants (with prizes) and a banquet to celebrate Québec-Océan's 20th Anniversary !

INSTRUCTIONS

The 2023 edition of the Annual Scientific Meeting of Quebec-Ocean (QO) will take place at the Hôtel Universel in Rivière-du-Loup.

Transportation

Québec-Océan will provide mini-buses from Québec City and Rimouski (outbound on Monday morning, 6th / return on Tuesday afternoon, 7th). If you are interested in this service, please indicate it when you register.

For students and post-doctoral fellows who participate in the Student Day, the mini-buses will leave from Rimouski and Quebec City on Sunday morning.

Accommodation

- Guest speakers: accommodation is provided by QO.
- Student members :
Student Day
For the night of Sunday, February 5th, Quebec-Ocean is offering accommodation for 2 student members per room, each room having two queen beds. Student members also have the option of taking a room at their own expense, at a reduced rate ($34 discount for the classic single room at $119, $85 to be paid by the student during registration).
RSA
For the night of Monday, February 6, Quebec-Ocean will cover part of the cost of rooms for students. The fee per student is $42.50 for a double occupancy room (2 people per room with 2 queen size beds) and $85 for a single occupancy room. This fee is to be paid during registration.

- Other participants: accommodation costs are not covered by Québec-Océan. However, the room reservation is provided by QO. Do not forget to provide information on your accommodation needs when you register. Payment will be made directly to the hotel at the end of the meeting.

Meals

Québec-Océan will provide the following meals for all RSA 2023 participants
- Monday's end-of-day cocktail (appetizer bites)
- Monday evening banquet (table service)
- Tuesday lunch (buffet)
- coffee breaks on both days
The other meals can be taken at the hotel and will be at the charge of the participants. Drinks will also be at the expense of participants.

If your participation in the RSA 2023 implies specific needs, do not hesitate to mention them in your registration form or to contact the coordinator directly.
