Visas and Entry into Canada

There are now additional travel requirements for entry to Canada as it relates to COVID-19. Ensure you have met all the requirements and have the appropriate paperwork. These requirements are evolving. Learn more here.

Reduce your Carbon Footprint

Flying and driving are large contributors to global carbon dioxide production; one of the ways we can reduce our impact is through carbon offsetting. There are a variety of websites to calculate and offset your emissions for your flight to Vancouver including https://ostromclimate.com/calculate-emissions/ (no affiliation with the conference or UBC) and sometimes you can do this through your airline when purchasing your tickets.

Travel and Trip Cancellation Insurance

We highly encourage symposium attendees to ensure you have appropriate travel insurance coverage (check the fine print for COVID-19 related illness and quarantine) as well as trip cancellation insurance.
