FAQ
General
Q: Where is the conference being held? How do I get there?
A: The address is MacIntyre Medical Building: 3655 Promenade Sir-William-Osler, Montreal. The registration desk is located near the upper entrance (sixth floor) off Pine Ave. West.
There is a lower entrance (first floor) to the building, located on Promenade Sir-William-Osler. The conference floors can be accessed by using the block of elevators down the hall.
The building is serviced by several bus routes (like the 50 from downtown and the 144 from the Plateau). There is also parking available, as well as bike racks.
Q: Where do I check in at the conference?
A: Presenters and attendees who have registered online can check-in at the registration table by the entrance to the 6th floor of the McIntyre building.
Q: How do I find specific rooms and sessions on-site?
A: All rooms hosting CASCA sessions will be clearly indicated on the door to the room. There will also be CASCA volunteers on every floor where sessions are held, as well as at the registration table near the 6th floor entrance, who are available to help with finding rooms and specific sessions.
Q: How do I access the WiFi network on-site?
A: You can access the Mcgill Guest network by registering on-site using your email. There is no prior password or sign-up required. You can also access the Eduroam network if you have an existing login.
Schedule/Presentation
Q: I am presenting at CASCA; how do I find my presentation date and time?
A: Presenters should be able to find their presentation date, time, and location by clicking on the ‘Schedule’ tab on Fourwaves, then by searching their name/presentation title/session title. All presenters should also be able to find their presentation time and location through ‘My Submissions’ -> ‘Info’ on the right side of the page under ‘Schedule’. Presenters who are not first authors or who did not submit through Fourwaves should search the schedule through the title of their presentation and/or title of their session.
Q: I am attending CASCA; how do I navigate the schedule?
A: Under the ‘Schedule’ tab on the fourwaves website, all sessions (organized by day) are listed, along with their time and room number. By clicking on any session, you can access the details of the individual papers or presenters. If you are looking for a specific paper or presenter, you can use the search bar on the ‘Schedule’ page or the ‘Presenters’ page.
Q: How do I access the conference program?
A: The program is available digitally (downloadable .pdf). You can access and download the program via the fourwaves website under the “PDF Schedule” tab, or by scanning the QR code on the schedule posters in the conference lobby.
Q: I am registered to present and would like to do so virtually; how do I facilitate my virtual presentation?
A: The CASCA Local Organizing Committee is not organizing virtual presentations centrally. Instead, if panels wish to include virtual presentations, they will need to be sure that someone participating on the panel has both a Zoom account and a laptop that can be used to facilitate the virtual presentation.
We are unfortunately not able to provide the equipment for hybrid sessions. However, if you can set up the zoom and bring a laptop/tablet and relevant connectors, you are welcome to include your co-organizer virtually. Most rooms do not have Mac adapters, so be sure to bring one if you plan to project from your Mac device.
Q: I have a question or concern about the schedule; who can I contact?
A: If you have a schedule/programming-related question not addressed in the FAQ, you can contact casca2025@mcgill.ca .
Accessibility
Q: Is the McIntyre Building accessible?
A: All entrances to the McIntyre building and to classrooms are accessible, and all conference floors are accessible by elevator. There are accessible washrooms located on the fifth and tenth floors. For more information, you can consult Access McGill’s floorplan of the building, which contains more detailed information about the building’s accessibility conditions.

A: If you have any questions regarding accessibility during the conference (physical or otherwise), pleased don’t hesitate to contact access.achieve@mcgill.ca
Language/Live Translation
Q: How can I tell the language of each session?
A: The language of presentation for individual sessions is indicated by the language of the individual paper titles and abstracts attached to each session. Some sessions include papers only in English or French, while others include papers in both languages. All sessions held in the Martin Amphitheatre (Room 504) will have live translation (FR->EN) software enabled.
Q: Is live translation available?
A: There is live translation software available for all sessions held in Martin Amphitheatre (Room 504), which includes the Weaver-Tremblay Presentation and the Frédéric Keck Lecture, among others.
