Transportation
The nearest major airport to the conference site is the Roanoke Regional Airport (ROA). The Roanoke Regional Airport is approximately 40 miles from the conference site.
Smart Way Bus
The Smart Way is a commuter bus service that links the Roanoke Valley to the New River Valley, including Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and Virginia Tech. Service begins in downtown Roanoke at Valley Metro's Campbell Court Transportation Center and ends at the Virginia Tech Squires Student Center. The route from the New River Valley to the Roanoke Valley is the exact reverse. Stops include the Park & Ride in Salem, the Park & Ride in Christiansburg, the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center, and more. The trip is free with a Hokie Passport for Virginia Tech students and faculty/staff. For all other passengers, the fare is $4 (cash, exact change).
Note: The SmartWay Bus will drop you off at the back of Squires Student Center (not the conference center), on the Virginia Tech campus, which is .50 to .75 miles from the conference center - a beautiful walk through the center of campus (map of walk). The cost of the SmartWay Bus is $4.00.

Getting to The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center
From I-81: Take Exit 118B towards Blacksburg/460 West. Exit the 460 Bypass at the Prices Fork Rd/Downtown exit, Route 412 East. Turn right at the first traffic light into the hotel entrance.
Take Interstate 81 South to US-460 West (exit 118B)
Follow US-460 West for 9 miles to the first Prices Fork Road (Downtown) exit
Merge onto Prices Fork Road and follow for 0.7 miles to the first stop light
Turn right into the hotel entrance
The hotel will be straight ahead approximately 300 yards (past the entrance to Visitor's Center)
Take Interstate 81 North to US-460 West (exit 118B)
Follow US-460West for 9 miles to the first Prices Fork Road (Downtown) exit
Merge onto Prices Fork Road and follow for 0.7 miles to the first stop light
Turn right into the hotel entrance
