Beamtime with Berries
Various berries grow across Turtle Island - many of them are tasty and nutritious! The IDEAS beamline at the CLS synchrotron offers a unique way to investigate that chemistry. Lots of different areas of expertise come together for this learning - bring yours! 2 sessions 10am-12pm we will spend time with Dr. David Muir, Earth and Environmental Sciences Manager, and IDEAS Beamline Responsible to learn how to read X-ray Fluorescence data and explore information collected by various participants in education programs. Tracy & Anna-Maria will provide context and connections to teaching and pedagogy and Elder Kathy will provide Indigenous perspectives and Traditional Knowledge where appropriate. 12:30-2:30pm This is where you come in - bring this home to your teaching context. What connects for you? What do you need to support using this in your courses?
