Title : Happy Hour with Function Spaces Abstract : We will meet our old friends from undergraduate courses, the spaces of continuous and differentiable functions, as well as some friends we may have seen more recently, such as the Lebesgue spaces, BV and AC. We will then be introduced to some characters we may not have encountered before, lying at the periphery of the usual crowd, the Hardy spaces and BMO functions. These are definitely not affiliated to any banks and may be rather rough around the edges, but can help us deal with exceptional cases arising in our work; their dyadic counterparts can sometimes prove even more helpful. Enlarging the diversity of our circle of acquaintances, we will then briefly encounter the more exotic JNp spaces and discuss the challenges we face when dealing with them. It is hoped that a good time will be had by all.
