Lucie Beaulieu

Lucie Beaulieu is a full professor in the Department of Food Science at Laval University since 2014. She first worked at the Centre technologique des produits aquatiques (CTPA, MAPAQ) in Gaspé as a research professor under the grant of the Department of Biology, Chemistry and Geography at UQAR (2005-2009). She was also a regular professor in biochemistry at the UQAR campus in Rimouski for 5 years (2009-2014). She is the coordinator of the interest group on marine products and co-products of the Institut sur la nutrition et les aliments fonctionnels (INAF) since 2008 and thematic director - Resources, marine energy, and health of the maritime economic sector of the Réseau Québec maritime (RQM) since 2020. Her research activities focus on the study of marine foods and their components for the improvement of food quality and the promotion of health. Recognized as a leader in its field, it actively participates in the strategic planning of a research program that is fully in line with global scientific issues, focusing on the sustainable management of bioresources.

André Pellerin

André Pellerin is a professor at ISMER since July 2021. After completing his Ph.D. at McGill University, he did a first postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Aarhus in Denmark and a second postdoctoral fellowship at Ben Gurion University in Israel. His research interests are related to sedimentary biogeochemistry in marine and terrestrial environments.
