Robert Gailey, PhD, Physical Therapist (PT), Fellow of the American Physical Therapy Association (FAPTA) is a professor at the University of Miami at the Miller School of Medicine in the Department of Physical Therapy where he has taught for more than 35 years and is the Director of the Neil Spielholtz Functional Outcomes Research and Evaluation (F.O.R.E.) Center at the University of Miami.

Trainer’s presentation

Robert Gailey holds a doctorate in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, where he developed AMP, a predictive test of amputee mobility. He has been involved with the development of 15 measures used in different rehabilitation disciplines.

He has authored over 100 publications and has continued his research efforts directed towards evidence-based rehabilitation, prosthetics, functional assessment and wearable and mobile health technologies. He has given over 500 presentations across 30 countries.

Dr. Gailey has dedicated his professional career to helping people with disabilities through clinical practice, research, education and years of volunteering with a wide variety of organizations and disability groups.
