D. Prisma Health-Midlands Clinical Research Unit: The Midlands Clinical Research Unit is the multispecialty clinical research arm of the Prisma Health Education and Research Institute for the region. Offering support for adult and pediatric clinical research as well as a dedicated cardiology team, the team includes: 10 Research Nurses, 6 Research Coordinators, a Pediatric research team manager, a dedicated Investigational Pharmacist, and a Regulatory Coordinator. The Medical Director of the unit is Dr. Helmut Albrecht who is available to assist new and established investigators. The Prisma Health research team is dedicated to collaborating with Prisma Health clinicians and academic partners to advance scientific knowledge and improve healthcare outcomes & quality of life for the residents of South Carolina.

G. Clinical and Translational Research Certificate Program: Join Midlands’ graduates of the Clinical and Translational Research Certificate Program. Prisma Health and Clemson University’s Department of Public Health Sciences and Mathematical Sciences offers a graduate-level certificate in Clinical and Translational Research. The goal of the program is to enhance the clinical and translational research capabilities of clinicians, nurses, research support staff and other health professionals.

H. USC School of Medicine Greenville Research Education Program: The Research Education Program is designed to grow workforce diversity in science, technology, engineering and math fields by preparing underrepresented racial and ethnic minority students for graduate programs. Program participants will gain research experience, academic skills and readiness for STEM career advancement. The summer experience provides biomedical research opportunities with expert faculty, professional development, workshop training and science/journal club meetings in aging research, as well as networking with other young scholars and researchers. Participants will have the opportunity to present their work at a research symposium and/or professional conferences.

Prisma Health Nursing Research Council: The Nursing Research Council mentors and empowers clinical nurses to enhance their understanding of nursing research, knowledgeably critique and synthesize Evidence Based Practice (EBP) nursing research, and participate in and/or conduct EBP nursing research.

K. USC College of Pharmacy COBRE CTT Functional Genomics Core: The Functional Genomics Core offers resources and solutions for conducting genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics and functional genomics projects.
