Brač is known as a tourist destination, for the Zlatni Rat beach in Bol, the marina in Milna, the white limestone which was used for the palace of Diocletian, the stone mason school in Pučišća, the oldest preserved text written in the Croatian language, the author Vladimir Nazor, its olive oil with protected designation of origin, fabulous local wines, the Kopačina cave near Donji Humac with archaeological findings dating to the 12th millennium BCE and the Blaca hermitage

How to Get to Bol, Brač


By Air

The nearest international airport is Split Airport (SPU). From Split Airport, you can take a direct bus, taxi, or private transfer to the Port of Split (approx. 30-minute drive). Alternatively, you can fly directly to Brač Airport (BWK), located just 14 km from Bol. Seasonal flights from various European cities land here, making your journey more convenient. Finally, Dubrovnik Airport (DBV), located only 200 km from the venue, can be an attractive choice for a more adventurous experience.

By Ferry or Catamaran

Regular ferry and catamaran services operate daily between the Port of Split and Brač:

  • Ferry from Split to Supetar (50-minute journey): Once you arrive in Supetar, you can reach Bol by car, taxi, or local bus. The drive takes approximately 40 minutes.

  • Catamaran from Split directly to Bol (1-hour journey): Fast and convenient option, especially suitable if traveling without a vehicle. Sept 27-30: Expect frequent departures (up to 7/day). Oct 1-2: Schedule reduces—likely 1 departure/day; plan ahead accordingly.

By Car

If you’re arriving by car, take the ferry from Split to Supetar. From Supetar, follow clear signs for Bol. The drive across Brač island offers scenic views and takes approximately 40 minutes.

Local Transfers

Upon arrival in Bol, taxis and local transfer services are available. Bol is also compact and pedestrian-friendly, making it easy to walk to most hotels, restaurants, and the conference venue.
