Oral presentations
Instructions for oral presenters in the concurrent sessions

The following are instructions for presenters:

  • Each presenter will have a total of 20 mins. Please note that this must include time for an introduction by the session chair, the presentation and questions from the audience. Therefore, we suggest that you keep your presentation to around 12-15 minutes so that there is enough time for questions from the audience. As a courtesy to other presenters, please stick to this time, as any time that any speaker goes over will eat into the time of other presenters.

  • There will be a laptop in each of the rooms at the conference. The laptops have MS PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat (for PDF).

  • Please check in advance of your session that the presentation is available on the laptop.

  • There will be a technician available across the rooms during the conference to deal with any technical problems.

  • We recommend that you use widescreen size (i.e. 16:9) for your presentation.

  • We prefer that you use the laptops provided in the conference rooms for your presentation, but if you need to use your own laptop because you are using non-standardsoftware for the presentation, please let us know as soon as possible by email (andree.sicard.ciussse-chus@ssss.gouv.qc.ca).

  • Please send your presentation to andree.sicard.ciussse-chus@ssss.gouv.qc.ca in advance of the start of the conference. Please indicate the day and time. Please make sure you have your presentation on a USB drive as well.
