Radiological Security in a Changing Global Landscape
Radioactive materials are used all over the world on a daily basis in almost every country for many legitimate commercial purposes. Everyday radioactive sources are used for cancer treatment, medical research, blood sterilization, sterilization of medical equipment and food, as well as in the oil and gas industries. There are many challenges to securing these radioactive materials because they are often located in open, easily accessible locations. Please join a panel of rad security experts to discuss their experience including challenges and opportunities; learn why and how they got into the field; and hear what keeps them in this dynamic field.
